Pros: Good laser, Has a nice heatsink, so it can be used for hours with no duty cycle. Can cut tape, alot more powerful than advertised,very bright, not bad beam and also quite small. could probably be run from 5V-6V batteries.
Good for making a laser show, has TTL modulation .

Cons: None .

Other Thoughts: Good laser for building A laser show, or just general laser use, you may be able to find a box to put it in with batteries and a switch so you can make it more of a portable heatsinked pointer .

Bottomline: Its a good laser for the price, and perfect for building a cheap laser show, BUY IT !

Pros: Perfect LASER for DIY LASER shows.
The TTL blanking works well!
The brightness (power) can be reduced via the trimming resistor.
After one hour constant power-on neither the module nor the electronic parts on the PCB get hot!

Cons: There is no IR filter between the crystal and the lens - the invisible infrared light is dangerous for your eyes! Wear a IR LASER eye protection or put a IR filter in front of the lens (like I did...)

Other Thoughts: I use it for my DIY LASER show. The blanking works well with an OUTPUT pin from a microcontroller or logic gatter. The TTL current is only 250uA and the voltage should be >1V.

Bottomline: Very cheap - very good - buy it!!!

Pros: Bright beam, Stronger then rated can be tuned , Great heat sinking, Very low power consumption , TTL blanking. All in all a good module for a small home laser show. Found the laser driver generated very little heat. Good for closed case scanners.
Burns tape and pops balloons. Beam is tight and bright with good divergence was able to scan on low lying clouds with out too much problems.

Cons: All the components on the driver board have had there numbers scratched off. Unable to repair driver should problems arise in the future.

Pros: Mine has a dual driver circuit: one driver for the green module and one driver for a red module if you have one. The circuit board is very well made and has good heatsinking where needed. Very bright and well collimated beam.

Cons: The 5v input is AC not DC. This is only a con because it isn't obvious unless you look at the board closely and some may accidentally try 5v DC.

Other Thoughts: The Heat Sink on my module is one piece with a brass insert that houses the laser components and optics. The focus can be adjusted but mine was already set for best collimation (I believe some call it "focused at infinity"
The circuit board components did not have their numbers scratched off on mine which is great should I ever need to work on it.
This is my first experience with a green laser so I don't have anything to compare it to, and I don't know the actual power output but it can be adjusted.

Bottomline: I love this little lab style laser. I can't begin to describe my amazement when I first saw its beam outside shining up into the sky at night. Awesome! I'm hooked. I want two or three more
