Other Thoughts: This 10mW laser pointer is much darker than my 1mW green one,
but that is due to it's color: The human eye is most sensitive to green (555nm),
and its sensitivity to other colors is less - especially to colors at the edge
of the visible spectrum. Here's a rough little sensitivity table (CIE standard
observer):
650nm - 10% - red typical red laser pointer
635nm - 20% - red HeNe laser
555nm - 100% - green optimum
532nm - 90% - green laser pointers
405nm - 0.5% - violet - this laser
Bottomline: It's a cool color - while more and more people own green lasers,
this one is still very special. The color looks quite a bit strange and interesting,
since its on the edge of visibility. Fun to point at fluorescent things.
However, due to it's special color, it is not very bright and thus not very
lucid in a bright room.
